Dr. Gautam Matta attended New York University College of Dentistry and received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He participated in the Honors in Orthodontics program and served as President of the NYU Orthodontic Society. During this time, Dr. Matta took great pride in trips to Kenya and Ecuador to provide dental care for underprivileged communities. Dr. Matta completed his specialty training at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He earned a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, while also earning a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology for his research on mini-implant temporary anchorage device stability. In private practice, he is an expert in treating even complicated orthodontic cases requiring adjunct orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Sogol Shantiyai attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. Dr. Shantiyai later earned a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, in conjunction with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Shantiyai is a native of Southern California and recently moved to Canada with her fiancé, a proud Canadian and diehard Toronto Raptors fan who is also an Orthodontist! During her free time, Dr. Shantiyai enjoys travel, beach time, and watching college football. She especially loves exploring her new home in Halifax and will never say no to a good latte!
