Dr. Fay Pereira
Dr. Fay dreamed of becoming a dentist from a very young age. After excelling academically in pursuit of her undergraduate Biochemistry degree at Western University, she secured a spot in the dental program at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. (At the time of her dental school interview, Dr. Fay was undergoing orthodontic treatment, so she believes that her braces were her good luck charm!) After graduating with honours distinction and awards for clinical and academic achievement, Dr. Fay practiced general dentistry for four years before embarking on her postgraduate journey to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto. During her studies there, Dr. Fay was involved in research related to craniofacial abnormalities at the Hospital for Sick Children. Her research was selected for presentation at the Canadian Association of Orthodontists Annual Conference as well as the International Robin Sequence Consensus Meeting. In addition to being an active member of many continuing education groups and associations, Dr. Fay is also a part-time clinical instructor for the Undergraduate Orthodontics Program at the University of Toronto.
